Corporate Entertainment Vineyard Visit in the Languedoc
Entertain your clients or reward your people with a one-night trip to the Languedoc in Southern France to visit one of the most dynamic wineries in the region. Domaine Gayda has invested 5 million euros in a state of the art winery and restaurant and is fast becoming one of the leading producers of top class wines in the Languedoc.
Guests will stay in the beautiful and picturesque hotel Château de Camon. Situated in the heart of the Languedoc it is a place of peace and tranquillity. Heir to a long monastic past, with the appearance of a manorial fortress, Camon invites us to experience a subtle mixture of history and architecture.
Day One
You will fly to one of the regional airports where you will be met by one of the Wine Wise team. We will drive through the beautiful countryside and vineyard areas to arrive in Minerve for a mid morning stroll around the small streets of this historic village. The village has a wonderful history and is full of little shops and cafes and also an interesting museum. We leave Minerve and take a short drive to La Lavinière, which is a superior wine growing area within the Minervois appellation. Here we will be met by one of the Domaine Gayda team and enjoy a picnic lunch amongst the vines next to a recently discovered roman well. Following lunch, guests will be taken through the vineyards whilst the guide regales them with fascinating facts and interesting anecdotes.
Our next stop is La Cité, the wonderful medieval city of Carcassonne. Here guests will spend a few hours strolling around this fascinating ancient site and enjoying a drink in one of the many little cafés here. After the visit guests will be driven to the Hotel where there will be time to relax around the pool before dining in the superb restaurant.
Day Two
Following breakfast guests will be taken to visit the winery at Domaine Gayda, which is situated in the heart of the Languedoc overlooking the Pyrenees. Here they will enjoy a tour of this modern winery and learn more about the fascinating subject of wine making. Following the tour guests will be lead through a tutored tasting of Domaine Gayda’s wines.
Domaine boasts a superb restaurant and their goal here is to tempt the ‘Gourmet’ in you to indulge in their cuisine and delight in the fruits of the region and the passion and creativity of their chef Pascal. We will enjoy lunch here before setting off for the airport and the flight back to England.
