Wine Appreciation Course

This 3 day course is a fabulous introduction to the world of wine. It focuses on the major grape varieties used to produce the worlds most famous and popular wines and is based upon the same syllabus used for the WSET Intermediate course. Indeed you can choose to follow the course as an interested enthusiast or enrol as a WSET student.
Each Saturday we will learn about different grape varieties, where they are grown and what their typical characteristics are and how these change in different climates. We will learn how wine is made and matured and how we should store and serve it for maximum enjoyment. The course covers all styles of wine including still, sparkling, sweet and fortified and we learn about spirits too. The whole world of wine is covered from the old world including many of the regions of France, Italy and Spain and we will take a look at all the major New World countries too.
This fun and informal course is taking place at Underwoods Wine Warehouse on 3 consecutive Saturdays. The course times are 10.00 until 4pm
