Languedoc Tasting Course & Tour
This full day event begins with a 2-hour course and tasting which will give you an overview of this wonderful wine region. This is probably the most exciting wine producing region in France today and over the 2 hours you will have the opportunity to learn why and how this is happening and taste some of the excellent wines produced here. During the course we will cover:
Wine Tasting – learn how to taste and assess wine
French wine laws – demystify the wine label.
Wine History – learn how the wines of the region have evolved
Minervois wines – first planted by the Romans
Corbières wines – are they really as rugged as the landscape?
Cabardès & Malepère wines – Atlantic meet Mediterranean varieties
Limoux – sparkling and still
Vin doux Natural – including St Jean du Minervois
The course is followed by a 3 course lunch in La Livinière. Afterwards we will visit a top class winery in the region, explore the vineyard and winery, learn how wine is made and enjoy a tasting.
