Wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon
This 2-hour course and tasting provides an overview of this wonderful wine region in the South of France. This is probably the most exciting wine producing region in France today and over the 2 hours you will have the opportunity to learn why and how this is happening and taste some of the excellent wines produced here. During the course we will cover:
Wine Tasting – learn how to taste and assess wine
French wine laws – demystify the wine label.
Wine History – learn how the wines of the region have evolved
Minervois wines – first planted by the Romans
Corbières wines – are they really as rugged as the landscape?
Cabardès & Malepère wines – Atlantic meet Mediterranean varieties
Limoux – sparkling and still
Vin doux Natural – including St Jean du Minervois and Maury
The course is taking place at Underwoods Wine warehouse in Warwick on Thursday evening November 25th at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The price is £30 per person and includes 8 wines from the major vineyard regions.
