Wines of the World Course, Leicester
This 8 week course is delivered in 2 hour sessions and will give you an introduction to wine tasting and the wine regions of the world. The course will cover:
Week One
Introduction to wine and wine tasting and an introduction to Bordeaux
Week Two
How wine is made and factors that effect the style of wines
Week Two
Bordeaux, Loire Valley, Alsace
Week Three
Burgudy, Rhone, Southern France
Week Four
Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal
Week Five
North and South America – South Africa – Australia – New Zealand
Week Six
Champagne & Sparkling wine and Sweet wine
Week Seven
Fortified Wines, spirits
