Other Styles of Wine
Key Facts - Port

Production Generally red. Addition of grape spirit interrupts fermentation so that unfermented sugars remain. Then aged in oak before bottling
Styles Ruby, Reserve Ruby, LB (Late Bottled Vintage):
Ruby colour; red and black fruit and spice aromas; full bodied and sweet with high alcohol and little or no tannin. Drink young
  Vintage, Single Quinta Vintage and Traditional Style LBV:
As Ruby etc, but more intense, complex fruit and medium or high tannins. Can age but throws a deposit and needs decanting
  Tawny:
Light style of Port made by blending young ruby and white Port
Reserve Tawny:
Tawny colour; complex fruity and nutty oxidative aromas; sweet with little or no tannin. Drink shortly after bottling; no need to decant
