Fund Raising Wine Tasting Events

A wine tasting event is great fun for all who take part regardless of their current knowledge and taste for wine. The event can be as small or as large as you require. Perhaps it will be just a few friends around the dinning table or a village hall for 100 people. Whatever the size we can help you raise funds for your chosen charity.

We offer many themes for these events and one of our most popular is a wine quiz covering New World Wines v French Wines. We start by dividing our audience into teams. Each team is provided with tasting notes for eight wines – four white and four red. In each category there will be two New World wines and two French wines.

Armed with a glass, each team member will be poured a taster from the first bottle, which will be covered and labelled No 1. They taste and discuss the wine and try to match it to one of the tasting notes. They are also asked to guess which country each wine is from and for a bonus point what the grape is. And so this goes on through all 8 of the wines.

Each person is given only a taste of each wine, not a full glass so there is no danger of over indulgence! Whilst they taste the wines one of our team wanders the room offering advice and giving interesting snippets of information. By the end of the tasting the people will have had a thoroughly good time, learnt more about wine and the art of tasting and the winning team will be awarded a prize of a bottle of wine each.

The cost for the event will depend upon how many people will be attending and how many bottles of wine are required. If you have 30 people by charging £15 per head you will be able to raise £250 for your chosen charity.
