We have a great selection of wine courses and events taking place through the autumn months and taking you right up to Christmas. Some of them are happening very soon but there is still time to book a place if you hurry!
Sweet Wines - September 26th - Leicester
During this course we will taste wines made from using all the different techniques available to the wine maker. From
Noble Rot such as Sauternes to fortified such as Banyuls and St Jean du Minervois. You will learn how they are made and where they are from and also which foods they match well with. During the course we will taste 8 wines accompanied by a tasty plate of food including blue cheese, pate, spicey and sweet. £45 per person BOOK NOW
European Wines - 6 week course commencing October 5th - Warwick
This 6 week course takes a close look at some of the greatest wine regions and countries in Europe. Each week we will taste 8 wines from each region or country and offer a facinating insight into how these wines are grown and made. The course gets off to an excellent start with Bordeaux and Burgundy in the first two sessions - two of the most dynamic wine regions in France. In week 3 Germany's wines are spotlighted and we will also learn the art of food & wine matching. Italy and Spain have some of the most exciting wines available and in week 6 we will discover fortified and sweet wines. £165 per person BOOK NOW
WSET Intermediate Certificate - commences October 13th - Leicester
A 3 day course taking place across 3 consecutive Saturdays. The Intermediate Course is an introductory level qualification intended for those who would like to know more about the absorbing business of wines and spirits, whether they are people who require a basic level of product knowledge to underpin job skills and competencies, or just love to share in the glories of wine as part of their lives as entertainers of their friends and family. £325 per person. WSET Advanced Certificate - commences October 31st - Warwick
A 5 day course taking place across 5 consecutive Saturdays. The Advanced Certificate Course provides an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of wines and spirits and is open to students who hold the WSET Intermediate Level 2 certificate. The course covers wines and spirits of the world in considerable depth and is taught over a period of five consecutive Saturdays however it is essential that students enrol at least 3 weeks prior to the course in order to commence the 16 hours pre-course study recommended by ourselves. During the 5-week course delegates will need to set aside a further 10 hours home study each week. Christmas Food & Wine Matching - December 7th in Warwick & December 12th in Leicester
This course will provide you with some great ideas for successfully choosing wines to enhance all your meals over the festive period. From choosing a wine for a traditional Christmas lunch to what do you drink with Christmas pudding? Which wine to pair with goat’s cheese, cheddar, stilton or Roquefort and which style of Sherry and Port to buy?
