An Introduction to Spanish Wines
This 3-hour course and tasting provides an overview of this diverse wine producing country. We will take a journey around the country and discover the most famous wines Spain produces, as well as other less well-known gems. We will end the course with a Spanish wine and Tapas tasting experience not to be missed.
- The different styles of Spanish Wine - from Cava to Rioja and Jerez to Rias Baixas: Spain has a wealth of diversity.
- Understanding Spanish wine laws
- Spain outside Rioja - as well as a look at the famous wines of Rioja, we will introduce some of the many other fascinating red wines from around the country.
- Crisp and Aromatic or Rich and Creamy? We will explore the wide range of delicious white wines Spain has to offer.
- Cava - Can Cava compete with other Sparkling wines in the world? We will discover the distinctive style of Spanish fizz.
- Sherry - the wonderful wines of Jerez and what makes them so unique.
- Spanish food and wine tasting - what should you drink with Tapas?
The cost of this course is £55 per person and includes tastings of 8 wines from the areas covered during the session and a selection of Tapas.
