This one-day course is intended for those who would like to know more about the absorbing business of wines and food & wine matching. Whether you require a basic level of product knowledge to underpin job skills and competencies or just love to share in the glories of wine and food this is the course for you.
Introduction to wine tasting – learn how to taste the professional way, how to assess quality and progress of wines and how to detect faults in wine.
Wine styles – what influences the style of wine?
Focus on wines from various regions of the world.
Storage and service of wine.
Food & Wine matching - learn about some of the classic food and wine combinations and why they work. You will be given 3 simple rules to follow for successful food and wine matching.
This course is available as an open at our wine school in Leicester and the price per delegate is £55. Private group training for up to 12 people can take place at your location and using your wine list and the price is £250 for a half day course and £350 for a full day. Prices include comprehensive course materials.
